In 2009, we implemented online documentation in EDM for all clinical staff, including nurses and other allied staff at three sites. Since then, other challenges have appeared: linking EDM & NUR, conversion to V2 Allergies, use of RXM for Home Meds, etc.
This presentation will look at considerations when designing clinical documentation for ED staff, and a look at other enhancements that will improve the adoption and quality of documentation.
Presenter: Susie Thibeault BScN, MISt(IS) is a Clinical Application Specialist with Hamilton Health Sciences Centre in Hamilton, Ontario. She has worked with MEDITECH Magic clinical applications for the past 10 years. Her current projects include the conversion to V2 Allergies and implementation of BMV.
