Grand View Hospital is a 209-bed not-for-profit community hospital located in upper Bucks County, PA. They have implemented PCS, ORM, EDM, ITS, LAB, Pharmacy, ADM, Medical Records, Abstracting, ELR, Archiving and Scanning, POM, and BAR modules as well as LSS for their physician practices and Home Health via Maestro.
They have a very robust electronic patient record. All nurses and ancillary clinical staff (PT/OT/Speech, Respiratory, and Nutrition) document using PCS.
The implementation of BMV completed their medication safety initiative in September 2009. Their physicians are 100% online with their documentation of progress notes, and CPOE is live in several areas such as OB, Orthopedics and Pediatrics.
They have a very busy ER which has been positively impacted by improved throughput using the EDM module. The EDM physicians and nurses use the documentation tools and they manage patient flow using their trackers.
