Pranav Mistry is the inventor of SixthSense technology, a wearable device that enables new interactions between the real world and the world of data.
A sampling of his broad body of work, Mistry’s previous projects at MIT include intelligent sticky notes, Quickies, that can be searched and can send reminders; a pen that draws in 3D; and TaPuMa, a tangible public map that can act as Google of physical world. His research interests also include Gestural and Tangible Interaction, Ubiquitous Computing, AI, Machine Vision, Collective Intelligence and Robotics.
Pranav holds a Master in Media Arts and Sciences from MIT and Master of Design from IIT Bombay besides his Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering from GujaratUniversity. His ground-breaking invention, Sixth Sense, has been awarded the 2009 Invention Award by Popular Science and in November of 2009 Mistry was the buzz of the TED2009 Conference.
