Membership is key to the MUSE organization. More members produce more interaction, which generates more value, which results in more members eager to join MUSE – see the cycle?

It’s beneficial for all members to support the recruitment process. And all it takes is five minutes – the Take Five Membership Drive.

Recruiter Information

Why recruit?

You will earn 15 Priority Points for each new Facility Member recruited!

Additionally, the top recruiter will win …

  • Acknowledgement at the Opening Session of the 2012 International MUSE Conference.
  • Acknowledgement at the New Attendee Reception at the 2012 International MUSE Conference.
  • A complimentary advertisement on the "Join MUSE" page of the MUSE website
  • A promotional article in an upcoming issue MUSE Matters, the MUSE magazine.

How do I inform MUSE about a new recruit?

Complete the Recruitment Form on the MUSE website.

What’s the fine print?

  • All recruitment activity needs to be documented by completing an online active recruitment form.
  • If more than one vendor is actively recruiting the same hospital, the vendors will each receive appropriate credit if that hospital joins MUSE.
  • The 15 Priority Points is the total number of points issued per new member hospital. If there is more than one Commercial Member actively recruiting when the hospital becomes a member, the points will be divided equally between the recruiting Commercial Members.
  • If after 60 days, the hospital noted on an active recruitment form has not joined MUSE, that form becomes inactive. A new active recruitment form can be completed if the recruitment process is actually continuing.
  • To be considered eligible for this program, hospitals must not have been a member in 2011.

About MUSE

In 1983, a small group of users met to discuss issues related to their MEDITECH healthcare information system. The meeting was productive and it was determined that the creation of a user group - and regular meetings - would be beneficial. So began the Medical Users Software Exchange, or MUSE.

Each spring, MUSE stages its annual International MUSE Conference, and throughout the year, numerous other educational events are held throughout the U.S., Canada, and the United Kingdom. Over the years, hundreds of dedicated users have given their time to educate their peers, organize events, and ensure that their user group continues to grow and prosper. With hundreds of hospitals worldwide participating, MUSE is the source for MEDITECH networking, education, and training.

Mission Statement

The Medical Users Software Exchange (MUSE) is a community of MEDITECH users and related professionals who interact to learn and share their knowledge and experience. Through MUSE, members network, solve problems, identify best practices, and improve performance for their organizations.
