Patient API Access: Your obligations and opportunities
×
When:
Jun 24, 2021 from 01:00 PM to 02:00 PM (ET)
Each time a patient interacts with a healthcare provider, a piece of health data is created and stored in an EHR. When data is stored across multiple EHRs and providers, it becomes difficult for patients to access all of their information. Patients today want different ways of collecting their medical information. Although patient portals and paper records are meeting the needs of some patients, digital-savvy individuals are embracing Personal Health Record (PHR) apps to tackle this challenge. Through Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) APIs, healthcare organizations have the opportunity to meet their patients where they are - in the digital app space.
