BCA - Insurance Eligibility and Copay Dashboard - part 2: Building the Dashboards

This session features a technical BCA build training, due to overwhelming feedback and requests for additional information from our 2024 MEDITECH Live presentation, Unveiling the Full Picture.   
 
There were many requests for information on our BCA dashboard - Insurance Eligibility and Copay Collection.  The initial purpose was to create a dashboard for our managers that they can use on a daily basis to reduce denials.  We decided on two daily goals:
1. 95% of insurances on "yesterday's" visits were verified
2. 50% of copays were collected on day of service

As a result of the implementation of the dashboard, insurance verification went from less than 10% to 95% in the first month.  We are collecting 80-90% of copays in our clinics. Critical to this was the ability to quantify the expected copy.  We have reduced denials through multiple efforts, including the use of this dashboard.
 
This will be a 2-part technical training on the build of the dataset and dashboard.  There is an expectation that the attendees have exposure to building BCA datasets and dashboards.  The focus will be on building this specific dashboard rather than a general overview of BCA.

Session 2: Building the dashboard. This will start with a brief review of any questions you have regarding the dataset build and then we will proceed with the build of the dashboard.
