Nebulizer Intervention Relfex Order
Hi all, For quite some time we have had issues with our nurses forgetting to document on the nebulizer intervention that we have reflexing from the nebulized medications (breathing treatments). Currently the intervention drops to the bottom of the nurses intervention list and they forget to schedule the intervention for the same times as the medication, therefore we have missed charges. We have ...

Transfers to another acute facility
Hello, Our physicians are wanting a better way to handle medications, continuing or stopping them, when they are transferring a patient out of our facility to another acute care facility. They do not feel like they should be the ones to determine if a medication needs to be stopped or continued before they are transferred; this should be the decision of the receiving facility. Can anyone tell us ...

Hard Stop On Admission Orders
I am hoping someone can provide me with some guidance. When a patient is admitted, whether it be for acute, observation, or swingbed, our nurses/physicians are forgetting to put in the admission order. I would like to know how other facilities are doing this. Do you have a hard-stop in place for the admission order? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you! ...

RE: End-User Training: What are others doing?
Hello - we do all our education in TEST. Depending on who is being educated we try to include the student with the set up. For example - demoing new orders or order sets We have the student place the orders on the patient rather than have them sitting there ready for the student. It helps them understand the big picture. RE: Admit Order via Transfer Process
Hi, one time orders are listed as complete and thus are not continued on admission. Our providers have to either continue current orders (ED Orders) or enter new ones within the transfer routine. The actual admission order is our problem as it gets missed occasionally or stuck within the transfer orders. ...
