Why this certification?

What is the MCMP?

The MUSE Certified MEDITECH Professional (MCMP) Program is a collaborative effort between MUSE, MEDITECH, and MedPower, offered exclusively through MUSE. It helps professionals supporting MEDITECH systems develop deeper skills, connect with peers, and demonstrate measurable competency to their organizations and the MUSE community.

The first MCMP pathway focuses on the Clinical (PCS) Analyst role. Over time, MUSE plans to expand MCMP to additional roles such as physician, revenue cycle, ambulatory, and more.

Structured Learning Journey

Start with the required MCMP Foundations curriculum, then complete the Clinical (PCS) Analyst track.

Mentor-Guided Growth

Work with an experienced analyst or leader from your hospital or another MUSE member site to translate training into practical improvements at your own organization.

Recognized MUSE Credential

Upon completion, earn the MCMP designation and badge, signaling your expertise and commitment to advancing MEDITECH use at your facility.

Qualifications to Join

Employed by a hospital actively using MEDITECH.
No minimum experience is required to enroll in the program.
Support from your manager or CIO sponsor.

How it works

Journey to MCMP Certification

All MCMP certifications begin with Foundations. For the Clinical (PCS) Analyst certification, you will 1) complete MCMP Foundations, then 2) complete the PCS Analyst track. When new MCMP roles are introduced, previously completed Foundations will carry over.

Stage 1

Application & Eligibility

Apply online, verify MEDTECH site employment, and receive approval & payment confirmation.

Stage 2

Training & Learning

Complete the MCMP Foundations curriculum, then the Clinical (PCS) Analyst track using MedPower modules.

Stage 3

Mentorship

Collaborate with an experienced mentor from the MUSE community to prepare for your Capstone.

Stage 4

Capstone Presentation

Present your Capstone at a MUSE event, showcasing your applied learning and project outcomes.

Stage 5

Certification

Earn the MCMP designation and badge, with opportunities for ongoing continuing education & renewal.
