Clinical Leaders Boot Camp

Sustainable Clinical Leadership and Governance to Aid in Strategic Success

How do you create a sustainable clinical governance team to ensure constant clinical improvement for your organization? Once large initiatives such as EHR implementations end, many clinical governance teams fall apart. Ongoing clinical leadership is imperative for the success of every organization.

The clinical leader landscape continues to expand, and roles and responsibilities can fall into gray areas without strong organizational guidance. Many clinical leaders never received formal training or guidance on how to be the voice for effective change. This includes knowledge in creating formal governance structures, organizational goal alignment, prioritizing competing initiatives, developing strong communication structures, and the ability to hold their peers accountable. In addition, Advanced Clinical Practitioners are being utilized in roles at a higher rate than we have ever experienced. There must be a pathway to support their executive level leadership growth.

Organizations that have effective clinical leaders and governance structures in place – and have formalized quarterly improvement/growth objectives focusing on areas such as patient satisfaction scores, regulatory guidelines, provider usage analytics, and readmission data – can make informed key decisions in the areas of most importance thereby improving the organization overall key performance outcomes.

Agenda:

  • Hour 2 – Sharing of case studies of executing on concepts and methodologies.

IT Leaders Boot Camp

Evolving Leadership Skills to Be a Credible Voice within Your Organization

Healthcare organizations across the nation have reported significant challenges and continue to face severe staffing shortages, employee burn out, and rising operational costs. In addition, there continues to be pressing demands by regulatory agencies, providers, and patients to provide enhanced cost-effective services and timely accurate data.

Given the overwhelming challenges, healthcare leaders are faced with making difficult decisions on what to invest in that will bring the highest value to their organization and ensure the execution is set up for success.

Since the majority of business initiatives have a technology component, the role of the IT leader has become more critical in being involved in the decision making and supporting the alignment, prioritization, and execution of these initiatives. These leaders need to have and/or gain insights into having a respected voice in order to guide their organizations on making the right business decisions for new technologies as well as fostering adoption to change.

In your role as a healthcare IT leader, it is critical to continue to evolve your skills and gain insight from others by networking with others who have faced similar challenges over their careers. This session brings insight from two experienced IT healthcare leaders who have led their organizations through challenging times and will share their many learnings along the way.

Agenda:

  • Hour 1 – Overview presentation goals/education on concepts and methodologies.
