Too many people are crying – they are crying at work, or crying in their cars; before work, during their lunch hour or on the drive home. Rude behaviour at work is taking a toll on hospital staff; leaving some to ask themselves the evermore frequent question: “Did I make right choice to work in health care?” 

Dr Brierley will give a chat on how healthcare professionals can use the power of civility in patient care and show the impacts of incivility on teamwork and patient outcomes.

Amelie Darblade with MHSU Teams – 2.2 Upgrade 
Amelie will share the organizations successes & lessons learned on the recent Interior Health 2.2 Upgrade that went live on December 4th, including the strong collaboration between Mental Health & Substance Use (MHSU) Systems DH team & the MSHU Transformation team.

Virtual Care - Hospital at Home Program Launch
The team will discuss the newly launched hospital at home program at Kelowna General Hospital where they have explored an innovative care model that improves patient outcomes and alleviate system pressures. As healthcare demands grow, particularly among aging populations, programs like Hospital at Home are crucial for balancing patient needs and available resources.

Optimizing paper order sets for the digital environment
Dr Eric Haywood-Farmer will discuss the challenges and best practices for bringing paper order sets to life in a digital setting.
