CIO Boot Camp

Evolving Leadership Skills to Be an Effective and Resilient Leader

Fee: $80 Date: Thursday, May 21 Time: 12:30 – 4:30

In today’s rapidly changing healthcare environment, IT leaders must do more than keep systems running. They must build credibility, align technology with organizational priorities, and guide strategic decisions that help their organizations stay resilient, effective, and future-ready.

Session Overview

Healthcare organizations continue to face challenges with meeting today’s demands and positioning their organizations for the future. Severe staffing shortages, employee burnout, rising operational costs, shrinking budgets, and growing requirements from regulatory agencies, providers, payers, and patients are making it increasingly difficult to maintain timely, accurate, and cost-effective services.

Healthcare leaders must be resilient and equipped to navigate these realities while supporting difficult decisions about what investments will deliver the greatest value. They also need to know how to align their IT organizations with broader business needs and ensure execution is positioned for success.

Because the majority of business initiatives now have a technology component, the role of the IT leader has become even more critical. These leaders must have a respected voice within the organization to help guide technology decisions, support prioritization, foster adoption, and create an effective IT function that enables long-term success.

This Boot Camp session brings together insight from experienced healthcare IT leaders who have led their organizations through challenging times, along with the perspective of a newly appointed IT leader who is actively building an effective and aligned IT organization.
